About Me
UPDATE: I am currently not accepting requests to assist in the transport of dogs going to rescues I do not already work with. I have also scaled back my area of focus greatly and no longer do transports out of the Southeast (AL, TN, GA, NC) nor do I do transport to the Northeast/New England area. I’ve decided to focus more of my time on the dogs in my rescue.
~ ~ ~
I’m a small rescue based out of San Diego, CA and a national transport coordinator. I’ve created this blog so volunteers can track the status of a transport and see which legs are still needed. I’ve also included basic information for drivers, senders and receivers.
The pictures are linked from my Flickr account, and are taken of the dogs while they are on transport. These are the lives we are saving, and the people who are making a difference.
Come join in the fun! Check the Volunteering… page to get started…

I’m so glad you’re doing this work. I think it must be much more complicated and time consuming than we drivers know.

Thanks Sue! Sometimes it is an 80-hr per week job, and sometimes I can get a run filled in a day. It really varies.

I read with sadness about the two GSPs who had to go to a new home. I shared this woman’s pain, because I married a Marine in 1969 (during Viet Nam) and his Master Sgt. absolutely promised, since he had just over a year left, that he would not be deployed to VN. Sure enough, six months later he got orders. Never trust the military!
I am so happy for her that a good home was found for BOTH dogs – this is a miraculous network that I have just recently started to drive for. Keep up the noble work!

Came across your blog while looking for blogs about a place I lived in (Morgantown WV), during a 10 year stint in your country. I had a basset hound that was rescued — she was from MO.
Just before I left Morgantown bound for home (Brisbane, Australia) in 2006, I was involved in the care and repatriation of over 100 dogs that had been rescued by some vets and rescue people from a facility that was not doing the right thing.
You do such a phenomenal job.
Best regards
Kim
